Sariska National Park  

Situated at a distance of about 100 km from Jaipur and 200 km from Delhi, Sariska National Park is a famous wildlife hotspot in Rajasthan. It is known for its unique topography favourable for multiple wildlife species to thrive, making it a famous getaway from Jaipur and Delhi. The topography ranges from dry deciduous forests to grasslands and cliffs to rocky landscapes. Sariska is home to a wide range of wildlife such as tigers’ leopards, jungle cats, caracals, striped hyenas, golden jackals, chitals, sambhars, nilgais, chinkaras, four-horned antelopes (or chousinghas), wild boars, hares, Rhesus monkeys, and plenty of bird species and reptiles.

Covering an approximate area of 850 sq km, Sariska Tiger Reserve beholds a few historical sites such as Kankwari Fort, Hanuman temple in Pandupol, and more. Back in 2005, Sariska witnessed a tiger population crunch with zero tigers left due to multiple illegal activities. Thanks to the consistent efforts from wildlife conservationists and the government of India, there are 14 tigers in Sariska presently. Best time to visit Sariska: October to June 

Ranthambore National Park 

Ranthambore National Park is another famous wildlife attraction in Rajasthan. It is spread over an area of 392 sq km and hosts the famous Royal Bengal Tigers. In the heart of the park stands an architectural marvel, Ranthambore Fort which is also home to the existing wildlife. Undoubtedly, the ruins add charm to the place but a catchy game changer is the tiger conservation initiation. The tiger population is comparatively high at Ranthambore National Park. It is amongst those few places where tigers are accustomed to human presence making it the best place to capture the wild beast. The place also serves more than 300 bird species and reptile species.
